Since our favorite first Saturday event falls during a long weekend and most of our members will be heading out of town, we will be having our dinner the following weekend on September 11th, 2010.

The dinner will be held at Bua Thai restaurant. If you plan to come, please RSVP to treasurer @ khushdc.org by 8 PM on Friday, September 10th so that we can make reservations. Since it is cumbersome for restaurants to charge individual credit cards for a large group of people, PLEASE bring CASH.

We recognize this date falls on the anniversary on the 9/11 attacks and we take this moment to solemnly honor all those who lost theirs lives in this tragedy. We also recognize that our Muslim members and friends will be observing Eid ul-Fitr that weekend and we welcome them to share their observance with us.

We also strongly encourage new members on the list-serv, as well as our lesbian, trans, and genderqueer members, to join us. KhushDC strives to be a haven for all LGBTQ Desis, not merely gay men.

For those who are interested, dinner will be followed by getting coffee/desert at nearby coffee shop(s) of your collective choice, AND/OR clubbing at a nearby popular club(s).

Also, we will be having a board meeting prior to dinner from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. If interested, please feel free to join us for the meeting. Your suggestions and thoughts are always welcome.

How does the Membership Money Get Spent?

The Membership fee is $15 per year, which pays some of the cost in running the group. For instance, maintaining KhushDC website, for registrations for pride events and, our ad in the pride guide, etc. Our annual expenses exceed $1000 per year.
